It's a normal kind of Monday, School runs and work kind of day. A feeling very tired because the weekend was so awesome kind of day.
Next week is Steve's Birthday and so I planned a weekend away as an early present.
We took the highspeed to St Pancreas International and then checked into our hotel, once unpacked we went to have a look at the skylounge bar our hotel has. It was such a lovely sunny day!
I particularly love this picture of the shard with the sun shinning!
We went out for dinner and a cabaret show on the Friday night - sadly no pictures of that as it was too dark and I couldn't get my flash on my camera phone to compliment anything!
On Saturday morning we were up early and walked along London Bridge towards the Shard - our first stop!
The views were amazing and as it was a gorgeous day we got some lovely pictures.
Including a shard selfie!!
I like this picture too, I was experimenting with different views, the above picture was taken from above my head and the picture below was taken once we got back outside and looked above our heads.
After the shard, we walked along the river and got a few pics of Tower Bridge.. that was our next port of call. We walked along it to get to the next exciting thing.
Afternoon tea at the Tower Hotel! It was amazing and this was our gorgeous view!
Look at that scrummy afternoon tea!
After our tummies were fit to burst we went for a long walk and stop to have a wander in Covent garden before heading to regent street. We were wandering closer to our final stop on Saturday before Dinner....
Yes, the icy cold Ice bar!!
40 minutes is defintely enough time in there, my hands and lips were so cold when we came out!
This is the bar tender wrapped up making our drinks.
Look at all of those ice glasses!
The pretty lights of London from our hotel, we went out for dinner Saturday night and then crashed back at the hotel after all of the walking! We didn't really do much Sunday, we went for a walk in Trinity Gardens and sat in the sun looking at the view of the Tower of London before we came home.
How was your weekend?
