**Wedding Wednesday**

It's strange just how much the holidays make you busier.. even though I don't think I have done anymore than usual?? I was thinking this morning that Wednesday has come round far too quick again!!
****
It's wedding Wednesday again!
I used this wedding album as a chance to try out a few different techniques, some of them I'm not a 100% sure of but I'm ok with that.. I'm more laid back about it than I used to be! I've had a few bottles of spray mists hanging around for a while so I decided to try them on a layout!

I actually quite like this effect, I cut out a heart template and misted over the top of it to create the background..

I liked this effect so much I used it twice!

I found a quote online that I thought was fab for a wedding page! (it didn't have a source though, so apologies if it is yours!)

..now away from misting and onto stamping and colouring in! Shimelle has been using these stamps lately and using pens to give them an effect. The colours I saw on Shimelle's layout made me think of my wedding album so I thought I would give it a go!

I used washi tape to make bunting and some more of the hearts and pieces that tie the album together, I love all of the different pieces on this layout of my Stacey. My little sister.

Stacey was my chief bridesmaid and looked after the little ones on the day. Jodie, my flower girl and Aidan, my page boy.. featured in this next layout!

When I looked through the photographers album of pictures he took that day, I stopped and stared at these two... the looks on my sister's and mother's faces are just lovely.

.. that is exactly what sprung to mind!

Bye for now!

**Wedding Wednesday**

I can't believe how quick the last week has gone!

Yesterday was a slightly strange day.. Adam and Emily broke up from nursery for the summer holidays, Emily will return in September, whereas Adam has finished! I think I am more bothered about this than he is though! I'm not an emotional wreck about it, I'm just subdued.. He is a proper big boy now and I keep wondering where my baby has gone!

****

Onto our weekly schedule!

Getting ready!

I love these shots of my sister, I got quite emotional when I was watching her have her make up done. Stacey has beautiful skin and I thought she looked like a porclain doll here.

I love all the make up shots and just couldn't decide which one to use so I used them all!

...and another:

...the next page in the album is one you have already seen:

***

and the new little Prince has a name! Welcome to the world His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge!

**Wedding Wednesday**

The next layout is based on one of Shimelle's layouts for Glitter Girls Adventure 070, I used my mood board of colours to create the page adding in more elements from page one. Hearts, red and white twine and sequins will regularly appear throughout the album.

I was sat outside in my dressing gown having a calm quiet moment after getting back from having my hair done when my mum snapped this.

Journaling reads: Sitting outside taking 5 minutes to gather my thoughts before my make up is done.. watching the birds in the tree across mum and dad's garden. There are two together building their nest, smiling and watching calmly, it just feels right!
........
The photographer took this picture of my dress hanging up in the living room at my mum and dad's house, I love how it looks against the curtains.. so of course it had to be in the wedding album!

Journaling reads: Standing in front of the mirror looking at a girl in a dress...hearing my heart beating in my ears and realising its me stood there looking like a bride in a shop in a busy street, finding the one.... finding the dress.
...and of course I had to feature the shoes!

Our local church is beautiful and both Steve and myself were christened there so it made sense to get married there too!

Journaling reads: All Saints Church, also known as Lydd Church or The Cathedral on the Marsh, is a church in Lydd, Kent, South East England. It belongs to the Diocese of Canterbury. All Saints is the longest parish church in Kent at 199 feet (61 m), and also has one of the tallest towers in the county at 132 feet (40 m). The church is thought to incorporate a small Romano-British basilica possibly built in the 5th century, though most of the current fabric is medieval. It was associated with local fraternities or guilds in the 15th century and could seat 1,000 people at a time. Severely damaged by World War II bombing, the church was subsequently restored and is now a Grade I listed building.

**A Scavenger catch up!**

The small people were getting ready for nursery on Thursday and Adam came running down the stairs waving this about...

...which made me grab the camera quick as it reminded me of the photo scavenger hunt, I'm not sure if it actually counts but I was definitely struggling to find a dinosaur picture! Adam loves cuddly toys like most children so we end up with all the characters.. You may recognise this one, of course it's George's dinosaur from Peppa pig.

****

Emily was a bit poorly on Thursday and spent most of the day sat on the couch resting and looking very sad.. which always melts your heart doesn't it? There was a little moment in the afternoon where she had a little power nap.. so of course I had to snap this for number 6!

I just want to pinch those cute chubby cheeks!
So this is how is stands now:

1.   Open air market
2.   Theater for performing arts (not a movie theatre)

3.   City Hall, Capitol or other similar civic building
4.   Airplane
5.   A sunset
6.   Someone or something taking a nap
7.   A sign that is intentionally or unintentionally funny
8.   A tower
9.   A photo with someone or something that is clearly out of place or doesn't belong
10.  A bench that is outside
11.  An animal in a zoo, aquarium, nature preserve, etc.
12.  A cloud in the shape of something (please specify what you see)
13.  A fence
14.  A stained glass object or a mosaic
15.  A fire truck or police car
16.  A windmill
17.  Candle(s)
18.  Your local pub/bar, coffee house or tea shop
19.  A fisherman
20. A dinosaur
21.  A photograph of you with an artistic tool or craft supply (you cannot substitute for this item)

A short a sweet post today but I will be back soon with the next part of Wedding Wednesday.
Bye for now!

**Wedding Wednesday**

I started scrapbooking after we got married 8 years ago, my first ever layout was of our wedding and at the time I remember instantly disliking it. I didn't know what to do or how to make the picture look like part of the page instead of  'stuck' there! So I stopped.. obviously not scrapbooking - I just stopped making our wedding album. I thought I would wait until I felt happier with my scrapbooking in general... then 8 years passed!
I guess I kind of left it in the 'for now' pile, {my new favourite phrase courtesy of Ladkyis, see this lovely post for an explanation} It was only seeing Shimelle's Glitter girl's adventure number 070 about scrapping a wedding album that made me get the pictures back out.
Our wedding colours were burgundy, gold and ivory, however I didn't want to use burgundy as a main colour in the album {it was an accessory colour in the wedding} as I thought it was too harsh on paper.. So I went with a mood board of Ivory, Gold, Brown, Red Pink and then I threw in a mix of Blue as it complemented the Red and Pink nicely. The Red appears through the album in small accents/embellishment and pink/ivory became the two main colours.
I've taken inspiration from a few scrappers and will let you know as I share each layout. So without further a do here is the first!

Journaling reads: Sending out the invites is a big milestone, it seems more real even though the church is booked, the caterer has been chosen and the reception venue finalised! THIS made my belly flutter!
♥ ♥ ♥

Look out for the next instalment of Wedding Wednesday...Coming soon!!

Bye for now

**More scavenger hunt pictures**

Hasn't it been a gorgeous weekend here in the UK?
On Friday we went to Bewl water which is about 45 minutes away from us, Steve and myself picked up the small people from nursery and went straight there.

We had a picnic when we arrived and then took the boat ride around the lake.
...where I spotted this {number 19 on the list}:

The picture isn't awfully clear as I had to zoom in with my phone!

After the boat ride Adam and Emily played for most of the afternoon in the play parks.

...whilst exploring I also found this inviting bench {number 10 on the list}

Adam loved this slide and I actually lost track of the amount of times he went down it!

..and Emily too!

Surrounding the individual play parks, mini golf and fishing areas were little fences.. so naturally I took a picture to add to the list!

We finished playing with a go on these swings, Adam was in his element but Emily needed assistance as she just wasn't strong enough to hold on!

A perfect end to a perfect day...

So there you have it! Just need to go exploring for the rest!

**Storytelling sunday: Pick your precious**

The small people were not interested in going outside for the last batch of snow in March so instead we stayed inside and made cardboard houses for Ted and Peppa Pig!
This is Ted and his house:

Ted has been in the 'B' household for almost 5 years, he arrived in a box with a balloon when Adam was born and sat untouched on Adam's shelf for about 3 years until one day an excited little boy spotted him.

The bond was instant and Adam soon discovered a special lady had brought this special bear for a very special little boy. Soon this smartly dressed little teddy became 'Ted' {named by Adam, no link to the actual film if you have seen it!}

Ted goes everywhere with Adam, he sits on the sink when he does his teeth and guards Adam's cereal bowl when he eats breakfast.. Ted even waits for Adam in his schoolbag when he is at nursery.

Sometimes Ted sleeps in his cardboard house on his cardboard bed with his blanket knitted for him by mummy....

...but most of the time Ted sleeps on a small pillow next to Adam. They both have story time, a squeezy cuddle and a goodnight kiss.
