Days 74 & 75 of 365

I'm trying to be a little more up-to-date with posting my 365 pictures, but it isn't really working! On the 16th March I felt thirsty all day - no matter how much I drank and ended up going to bed with a really bad headache! Thankfully it had disappeared the next day!

I said it was a nail theme this month! I infilled my cousin's nails and did some pretty artwork for her.

Days 72 & 73 of 365

I leave work next week to go on Maternity leave, but this week is my last teaching week. Today has been quite emotional as I have taught two of my groups for the last time. They finish their course in July and I have followed them from their first year. They brought me flowers and prezzies and I had some cards that nearly made me cry!

Tomorrow will be a similar day - one of the groups I have followed from the beginning and the other group I have only taught since November 09, but I will miss them all.

*365 update*

It was Mother's day on the 14th March and this is my lovely card from Adam:

On the 13th March I found this gorgeous gift bag for Mother's day and in true crafting style I brought an extra one to use on a project at some point!

Catching up again!

Two more pages complete for the 'celebrate life' album. This page is a mix of everything so far: Patterned paper, cardstock, metal bits and ribbon. I followed Shimelle's tutorial for the flower and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

I think this next page is my fav so far! Using the page protector as a mini book and embellishing the front of it. I love the colours and the flowers.

After yesterday's events I am taking an hour to try and complete some more! Adam is napping, so I am going to leave the blog-hopping until later.

Adam's first trip to A&E!

What a day! I spent all afternoon in A&E with Adam after he woke up this morning with a swollen finger. I immediately recognised what it was from teaching my students about nail diseases and disorders.

His cuticle had split (he probably picked it or chewed it!) and therefore the tissues became infected.

I rang the seedoc as I knew he needed antibiotics and they referred him to hospital, where the nurse dressed it with this huge plaster!!! I did feel a little silly going to A&E, but I knew it would get a lot worse if was left.

He was a little angel, even when they squeezed his finger!

Day 71 of 365

It was a coffee day, I met up with my cousin first for a coffee and some blog talk.

Next I went to see my mum after she had finished work to give her some birthday prezzies and we had coffee too.

Finally I had a special coffee from my machine when I got home, of course these were all decaff coffees due to my current condition!

Bit of a Nail theme this month!!

This month my 365 has had a nail theme, On the 11th March I went to London on a nail course and had great fun with bright colours. I can't wait to try it out now, haven't had a lot of time recently - but will definitely be playing soon!

These are my nails, as I went to London with the college for the beauty show I had to have glamorous nails myself! I chose an oriental theme and they went down a treat! I still have the design on now - just waiting for enough time to infill and re-paint!

More 365

What a gross day again! It hasn't really stopped raining!

Thought I would do a 365 update:

We received a beautiful wedding invitation in the post from one of my friends, she made it herself and as you can guess the theme is butterflies/ivory/gold. The wedding is in July, in fact we have two weddings in July - one the week after the other! How exciting!!!!!!

On the 8th March, the college took the students to London (Excel) to a beauty show. It is always so exciting as there is so much to see (and buy!) I was quite good this time - with regards to spending, but became inspired all over again to get the brushes out and be creative. The students definitely enjoyed themselves and brought lots as usual!

Ribbon mania - celebrate life

I like using ribbon on layouts and decided to go with a multi-colored theme for this prompt! I have done a page slightly similar to this and decided to re-create an element of it. I have completed the next page, I am just waiting for the glue to dry before I post a pic of it.

Days 65 & 66 of 365

We have had a family day today, it's quite rare now that Steve and I will get a day off together. We decided to go to France for the day and had a lovely lunch in Calais, followed by a nice walk around City Europe. It was also Adam's first trip out of the UK!

Day 66 of 365:
I made Yorkshire puddings to go with our roast dinner and I was quite proud of these babies!

Day 65 I had a sore throat and thought I was coming down with a cold, Luckily it didn't last too long and actually wasn't that bad (as far as colds go!)

Something from nothing class

Ok, so I was talking about Shimelle's new class 'Something from (almost) nothing' and finally I have caught up with the prompts ready for the new one tomorrow.

For the cover I decided to use a 6x6 7 Gypsies board book, I covered in in some PP that I have had for about 4-5 years (but that's the point, right?) and dug out some metal words that I have had for even longer! Mixed with some 'not-quite-so-old-but-old-enough' brads and I achieved this:

I am going to use book rings to hold it all together, I will decide on the size once I have finished it. For prompt number two, we were challenged to use 'scraps' of old PP. I decided to stick to a colour theme and use this picture of Adam that I haven't scrapped yet.

I am still working on my 'When I grow up' project - will post some of that soon!

Happy Mother's Day

A big
'Happy Mother's Day'
to all the Mummies out there, including my lovely mummy. I hope you are all being thoroughly spoilt!!!!!!

I have been spoilt today, My lovely Hubby let me lay in this morning and when I woke up I had a card and flowers waiting for me. He is currently cooking a Roast dinner and has even done the ironing!

What a lucky Mummy I am!

Here is some more of my 365:

Day 64, the new baby's bedding arrived and I have dressed the little cot ready. This bedding matches Adam's - he has the neutral version of it and they look so cute side by side.

On day 63 I wanted creme eggs! I still haven't had any proper cravings during my pregnancy - I just have phases and this particular week it was the lovely creme egg!

I have made a start of my new class now and I will be posting it later, Bye for now!

March 12, 2010

I have started my class - honest!

I have been absent from blogland this week due to a very busy schedule!

Monday: I went to Excel in London with the students to a Beauty Show and was very tired after walking around all day!

Tuesday: Work as normal, But still very tired after Monday!

Wednesday: We had an external verifier in at work and I was observed - in the same lesson! It went really well - but oh the pressure!

Thursday: Back to London for a nail course, very tired after driving there and back!

So after all that I was a bit too tired to even turn the computer on! I was a bit gutted as Shimelle's new class started on Wednesday and I like to at least be up-to-date with the first few prompts! But never mind, I am working on it now and will share all soon.

Onto my 365.

Day 62: I took my car for an MOT. Something I hate doing as It always cost a lot and the car always needs something! This time it surprised me and was actually quite good - I could pick it up the same day and everything was hunky dory!

Day 61: Adam stayed at his Nana & Grandad's for the evening as Both Steve and I were working very late as we feel it is unfair to pick him up from somewhere that late, so he had a night away.
I hate seeing an empty cot!

Well I am off to do a little bit of long awaited scrapping!

March 07, 2010

Days 59 & 60 of 365

We had our first beautiful blue sky in months, so it just had to feature in the 365. It was a gorgeous sunny day and was quite warm too.

On the 28th Feb, I went to a baby shower. I had never been to one before and it was good fun - sadly I didn't get any photos, so I saved my unused napkin and took a photo when I got home.

Document 2010 - February

It's quite cold here today, Perfect day for scrapbooking instead of being outside!

I have finished working on February's Document 2010, I went with the love theme for the main page and then used matching elements for the smaller layouts.

I am also starting to work through some of Shimelle's older classes that I have purchased and never got round to starting! The first is 'When I grow up', I will be posting snippets about that from time to time.

See you soon blogland.

Days 57 & 58 of 365

On Day 57 I built the new cot for the baby No2, After building it I ordered bedding and a new mattress.

Adam knows where we keep the broom and quite regularly gets the broom out and sweeps (even if the floor doesn't need it) He has become quite good at it now, although still isn't aware that it is bigger than him so he needs to be careful about swinging it around!

I am getting excited about Shimelle's new class, I am looking forward to using up some old scrapbook stash!

March 04, 2010

Days 55 & 56 of 365

Dentist time again! Where does the time go? It goes just as quick for the dentist crew too - I used to be a Dental Nurse and I remember looking in the book daily thinking 'Is it really 6 months since we seen Mrs soandso?' Last time I went to the dentist Adam didn't have many teeth but still managed to do a cheesy grin for the Dentist, this time he has nearly all of his teeth - he did the same cheesy grin but not for long! The dental nurse gave him a cute little plastic dental mirror which is what I used to hand out too (brought back some memories) and he played with it all day and for the rest of the week!

My photo for that day is of Adam preparing for his dentist visit!

On the 24th I decided to add more colour to my project 365 and photograph my craft paints, I loved how they look used and there are little traces of paint on the lid.

How weird is it that the title font has suddenly changed on my posts without me doing anything? Is it because I installed Flash player today? Could you please tell me, has it been like this for a while? Is is just my computer that wouldn't show it?
