Well that kinda sucks!

The sucky thing I am referring to is that Steve has to work on Christmas day, he is working a morning shift and will be home around Lunch time - which is good as he can then enjoy the rest of the day but we wont get to sit in bed with the kiddies in the morning opening stockings together so it still kinda sucks! I know I should be grateful it isn't a day shift (which are literally 9-6pm) but we haven't missed a Christmas morning together in 11 years!

Anyway enough moping about, there are worse things going on in the world!  Welcome to......

Remember the pile of festive wool?

This is what happened to the Cream and Red:

I it! I'm going to make another one in the green wool!
Night all x x

5 Days until JYC!!!!

The stocking is gorgeous and I know how sucky that news is - I was talking with a girlfriend yesterday and her hubby has to work a day shift this Christmas with young kids as well - he has had to for several years .... but, someone needs to be protecting the country!

Know the feeling Rachel... partners shift pattern has him working Christmas Eve as well as Christmas Day this year, and he'll be working New Year's Day, it's fallen so he's done many Christmas's in previous years... it sucks but well you enjoy the ones they are home for even more! :)
Love the stocking :)

Sorry to hear about Christmas morning - everyone will have to stay up extra late on Christmas Day to make up for it!

Your stocking is fabulous! Both my kids received hand knit stockings as baby gifts and when they are home, they are still using them. It was one of the best baby gifts ever. So sorry to hear about Christmas morning. It is a bummer.

That stocking is fabulous! I still use a stocking that my mum made for me when I was little (sewn, not knitted) and I love it, it wouldn't be christmas without it! x
