Knitting

My nan taught me to knit when I was about 7 or 8, I did a lot of knitting growing up - only really dolls, teddies etc but I haven't knitted for about 6 years. The last thing was a orangey-red chunky knit scarf which I still wear in the winter. It's a really long Dr Who style one that you can wrap round and round so you are nice and snug.

I'm not sure what has triggered it but I want to do some knitting now and today I made Steve get all my knitting needles etc out of the loft! I have only ever bought about 3 pairs of knitting needles, the rest were my Nan's and my Great Nan's and it's nice that I have them.

Well I'm off to bed now, I will keep you posted with how the knitting goes!!!

Talk about great minds thinking alike..I have just written a draft post which begins "My Grandma taught me to knit when I was five" This may or may not be appearing on Sunday now lol

Great to hear of another knitter..I'm doing a little jumper for my nephew at the minute. I do like the colour of your wool!
