Egg Rolling

I hadn't heard of 'Egg Rolling' until I met Steve, or rather until Steve became an Uncle!

It's a tradition in his family that every Easter they roll hard boiled eggs down the stairs (obviously they stopped in between Steve being a teen and the grandchildren coming along! Lol.)
Steve's Mum and Dad (as head of the family) hard boil loads of eggs and then the kids draw pictures on them with felt tips before rolling them down the stairs.

The idea is that the one left with the most un-cracked eggs is the winner, but the kids just keep rolling until all their eggs have cracked.

Adam joined in this year, I was worried at first that the walls would be re-painted with egg - But he was very good and carefully rolled them. Some didn't quite make it down the stairs, but he participated!

I just hope he doesn't now think he can throw eggs around! Oh the mess!

Sounds like great fun for the kids.

Yup - you just have to make sure he understands this is an Easter time activity only! I have visions of you leaving him to his own devices one day and finding your carpets splattered with yolk!

That's what I'm afraid of Deb, The eggs are now going to be kept on the highest shelf!

Whenever we go and visit my mum and stepdad I worry that my daughter will come back wanting to play the boisterous and loud games that they play with her, but she seems to understand that they're 'grandad only' games. So hopefully Adam will behave - except maybe when he's at their house?!
