Something from nothing class

Ok, so I was talking about Shimelle's new class 'Something from (almost) nothing' and finally I have caught up with the prompts ready for the new one tomorrow.

For the cover I decided to use a 6x6 7 Gypsies board book, I covered in in some PP that I have had for about 4-5 years (but that's the point, right?) and dug out some metal words that I have had for even longer! Mixed with some 'not-quite-so-old-but-old-enough' brads and I achieved this:

I am going to use book rings to hold it all together, I will decide on the size once I have finished it. For prompt number two, we were challenged to use 'scraps' of old PP. I decided to stick to a colour theme and use this picture of Adam that I haven't scrapped yet.

I am still working on my 'When I grow up' project - will post some of that soon!

These are the way all the scraps make a frame round Adam.

I agree, the paper squares make a great frame around such a cute photo!

Oh, this is looking great Rachel - I'm a bit behind on this class ... well as behind as you can be when you are using up your stash!
